Supreme Non attachment

In all lives, the human being is the only being who can do this. No other animal can do this as easily as a human can do. Yes. Nonattachment of objects. But in actuality, the human being is the only being that accumulates not only sufficient for him but struggles to accumulate so that his next seven generations should not face any problem. He never understands that generations get what they deserve.
And now a day, property, money, general objects of day to day use even pets have become desirable things. If we have them, we cannot sleep in the fear of if somebody steals them from us. And if we do not have them, we cannot sleep in the worry of not having anything.
A man has many desires which keep increasing with time. These desires increase attachments.
There was a boy who had nothing but just a small sleeping bag with him. He used to sleep on the road. As he had no property he was sleeping quite well in the night on the footpath. He was keeping his sleeping bag in one corner of his workstation. He was a waiter in one restaurant. As he used to be busy, there was a chance of losing his bag. So he thought of taking one small room on rent for stay. As he took one room, he was required to pay all rent, electricity bill, water bill, etc by himself. So he started working overtime. But still, he was not able to satisfy his financial needs. So he decided to keep a partner. The partner came in. As now they were two, they thought to save money by making food at home for themselves. Now they bought the grocery for the food preparation and some necessary things as well in partnership. But as their income increased due to partnership, they decided to appoint a maid for household work. The maid started spending more money on food. So they again started working hard and earning more money. Now they decided to marry, so now they will require separate homes. So they rented small homes and got married. As his wife was working, they kept a maid. They added a lot of home appliances as well. After some days, children got added to the family. Now, both his wife and he were required to work hard to earn more money for children and their future. As there was more number of people, earning was required more.
When he was on road having nothing other than just a sleeping bag, he was able to sleep at night with happiness. But as he started possessing objects, his desire kept on increasing. Desire is one thing that never ends. If you complete one, another generates. So it is always better to be happy with what you have. Rather you should try to reduce dependency on objects. When you leave everything, you will be the happiest person as there would be nothing to lose. Keep minimum rather than optimum things in your life. Then try to reduce the minimum level below till it reaches zero.
Zero is an ideal goal in everything.

Humanity Pays Off

It was just another day. After a very hectic workload in the company, I was very much tired. At that time there were mobiles but not with common people. The Internet had started its influence and was capturing human beings like the British had captured India in history. Being an engineer, now I think you waste half of your youth life just thinking of job search, job change over, and its frustration. Unknowingly I started my journey on the same path.  Having tired though, I went to café… no..no not café coffee day. I went to an internet cafe to search and apply for jobs. This had become my daily routine to go to a cyber café and search for a job.  One fortunate day, I got a call for an interview. It was in some area in Pimpri Chinchwad. I was needed to go by city bus. As usual, I lied to my boss and got leave for health reasons. I went for the interview and it was good. But they told me that they will inform me results in one or two days. I was hopeful. With lots of th...

Forgiveness is happiness

I came back from the office at 11 pm. I was very tired and wanted rest. Today only I had salary and cash was there in my wallet. After freshen up, I just had dinner and slept.  Morning, the doorbell was ringing continuously. I opened the door.   “Good Morning, please pay the milk bill for the month.” Milk Man was on the door.  “ Ok, How much I need to pay,” I replied.  “500,” he said.  I went to bring money. I just counted the money in my wallet, I observed that 100 less in my wallet.  Anyway, I paid the cash and closed the door.  I immediately asked my younger brother, “ Hey Sam, have you taken money from my wallet?”  He replied “ no,”  I thought “ Ok, I might have lost somewhere.”  But, I doubted Sam as I found his eyes were telling a different story. I decided to watch him. The next day, I found that again Cash is less. Now my suspect became stronger and I just decided to keep watch on him. As it was a holiday, we sta...

Truth is stranger than fiction.

My boss, Anant, was of mid-thirty. He was a good guy and a jolly person. We were three in the office.  Myself Karan, working as a trainee engineer. And an assistant named Vaibhav. Whatever work was there, we used to distribute and do the work. But many times, we used to go to customer or vendor sites; there would be nobody in the office. So, Anant decided to have a receptionist for the office. He explained to us, “She will handle office documents and call management.” He told me to give an advertisement in a local newspaper in Pune. I and Vaibhav immediately completed the job. Boys will be boys. Both of us were very happy with the idea that one girl would be there with us for the next few days in the office.  Finally, the day of interviews came and one by one girls started entering for interviews. Anant had selected few girls for the interview. Vaibhav and I, both were so excited that we told Anant that there is no appointment with any customer as well as vendor. W...
