A Man of Principles

 I was employed by one company. The company had 50 employees. It is a partnership firm. They used to get job work from well-known OEM firms. Customers used to provide the raw materials, and we would process the parts. Then the customers would take back the finished products. In their logistic arrangements, the customer had a system for sending raw material as well as picking up processed material. So our job was to work efficiently because our efficiency was a direct profit to the owner. We used to have a very strict environment in the workplace. There would be a deafening silence when the owner arrived at the company. Nobody dared to say anything in front of him. Everyone used to be afraid of him. We were three roommates living in one small bungalow in Pune, India. Normally Pune people are known for very skeptical and inquisitive and are called Punekar. Our house owner was one of such Punekar. Before this house, I was living with my cousin, Param, in another house. But they were already 4 people when I joined and it was a crowd in the home there.  Param had one friend staying in one bungalow with roommates named Ankit and Rohan.  Param asked Varun about me and he said yes. So finally I shifted with them.                    Initially, Ankit came first in that bungalow and Varun joined him. The owner as told earlier was very skeptical and inquisitive.
