Boss is boss. My boss was having the ideology that Being a manager, you need to be aggressive. This is an old stereotype method. As I always believed in humility, I was perfect for him. I used to do everything he used to allocate for me within the specified time. But when I complete the task, he used to get all appreciation from his seniors. But he never passed that appreciation to me. But I never considered this as a problem. I always kept thinking positive that I never worked for appreciation but for learning and survival. But whenever there is a single mistake, it was pointed to me by him. Sometimes, I used to get irritated by this behavior. But I never projected it that way to him. This culture is so popular that many companies look at it as a successful management strategy which I disagree with completely.
To be successful in real terms you need to win people. Without people, success has no meaning. To win people you need to believe in humility. This is the only way to keep success ongoing and not temporary.
I used to visit daily at the customer end. I used to visit every line of assembly wherever my company’s material would be used. I was required to see how much materials would be required up to the next day. Then I was required to resolve any quality issues faced by the operators online due to our part. Initial days, operators used to start shouting at me due to issues and the behavior of the previous colleague who was responsible for this job. I always used to listen and solve the issue as soon as possible. I always told facts to them. After few days they all started behaving not only normal but very much friendly to me. Humility plays a great role in achieving a win over people.
Muy cierto la humildad es algo que siempre hay que mantener.
